The Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery is a busy academic medical practice located in Columbus, Ohio. It is part of the The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, which is one of the largest medical centers in the United States. Pediatric patient care is provided in collaboration with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which is a freestanding children’s hospital with over 500 beds itself. Thus, the department serves both campuses with 9 dedicated pediatric otolaryngologists, a very large head & neck group, a world-renown skull base center, and all other ENT subspecialties.
The division of Otology/Neurotology, and Cranial Base Surgery covers all aspects of hearing and balance care with a large skull base volume. The pediatric cochlear implant program has been rapidly expanding and is hosted at Nationwide Children’s Hospital with a dedicated multidisciplinary hearing clinic to address all social, educational, audiologic, and medical aspects of pediatric sensorineural hearing loss.
