HEARRING meeting in Japan 2025 highlighted a fundamental shift in modern hearing healthcare: moving beyond treating hearing loss to understanding its underlying cause.
Through discussions on precision medicine, genetic diagnostics, adult hearing screening, advanced microsurgical techniques, and the management of single-sided deafness, leading clinicians and researchers demonstrated how identifying the etiology of hearing loss enables more accurate diagnoses, tailored interventions, and improved long-term outcomes. Together, these advances are redefining clinical practice—making hearing care increasingly personalized, evidence-based, and, for many patients, truly life-changing by restoring not only hearing, but communication, confidence, and quality of life.
