We are Specialized In
The ENT Department at Luzerner Kantonsspital, where Prof. Rajan practices, is one of five centers in Switzerland recognized by the Health Directors’ Conference (GDK) as a center for highly specialized medicine in cochlear implantation. The department offers comprehensive services, including thorough preoperative assessments and lifelong postoperative care for patients receiving cochlear implants. The surgical procedures are performed under general anesthesia and typically last just over an hour, involving precise hearing preserving techniques to ensure optimal outcomes and maximise preservation of the inner ear functions. This center is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care for individuals with severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss, for whom conventional hearing aids are insufficient.
