We Are Specialized in
At YAIS Cochlear Implants we strive to offer a flexible service in line with Quality Standards and guided by the individual needs of each adult or child.
‘The Listening for life Centre’ was a purpose-built design opened in 2009 to house the Cochlear Implant and the other auditory implant services offering comprehensive assessments and habilitation. Facilities include 5 soundproof rooms and clinical sound localization laboratory.
Set in the grounds of Bradford Royal Infirmary if offers easy access for patients and families throughout the Yorkshire region and beyond. The Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology offers a comprehensive service and management of all aspects of the specialty. The children’s hospital wing was a new addition in 2018 offering both inpatient and day care accommodation.
The whole process of initial assessment, fitting the implant and rehabilitation involves the patient and families working with the team in a variety of settings including the hospital, home and for children the school. This demands a high level of commitment from everyone involved. Through working in partnership, a caring and committed service is provided for each individual.
