The workshop will take place in Rostock on March 9th – 11th 2020 and will expand on the topic of chronic middle ear disease as well as cover the use of classical microsurgery of the middle ear and modern hearing implant systems for comprehensive hearing rehabilitation.

The management of chronic middle ear disease is one of the most fascinating aspects in the field of Otorhinolaryngology. The surgical anatomy of the temporal bone is both appealing and challenging to grasp at the same time. Additionally, there are many different ways to treat the complex nature of chronic middle ear disease and hearing impairment. This course addresses residents as well as experienced otorhinolaryngologists and all other professionals dealing with hearing impaired patients.

The international association of Comprehensive Hearing Centers “HEARRING” was founded to advance the clinical and scientific exchange of experts worldwide. Microsurgery of the middle ear is one important part of the HEARRING speciality. Besides classical tympanoplasty procedures, indications and special interventions for surgical hearing restoration experienced an enormous progress by the rapid development of new prosthetic and technical devices up to cochlear implantation and implantable hearing aids.
Therefore, experts from all around the world meet in Würzburg, Germany on the 17-19th February 2020, at the event hosted by Prof. Dr. S. Dazert and Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. R. Hagen. Experts will be able to attend live surgeries and various lectures as well as the exclusive HEARRING Comprehensive lecture.
The HEARRING center – Hospital La Paz – is organizing an enriching international course on facial paralysis on the 12-14th February 2020. This will be the 5th time that the experts in this field meet to discuss updates on facial paralysis to globally broaden and strengthen the knowledge base.
